FAQ'S

The Naperville Salt Cave provides an environment for natural and safe salt therapy. Although published studies do indicate that salt therapy has health benefits, the Naperville Salt Cave does not claim that salt therapy should be used as a replacement for medication or any medical treatment of any kind. Only your personal healthcare professional can best advise you on matters of your health. If you are pregnant, allergic to iodine, has cancerous diseases or hypothyroidism you should get consent from your physician that it is acceptable to complete a salt cave session. Salt therapy should be avoided during the acute phase of any illness, including, but not limited to infections accompanied by fever, acute active tuberculosis, cardiac insufficiency, contagious ailments, use of an oxygen tank to aid breathing, alcohol and drug intoxication.

There are small pieces of salt within the cave which can be a choking hazard for young children. Therefore, children under the age of two years old must be in the parents lap or in a car seat at all times when in the cave.

We ask everyone to arrive early so we can get you checked in, get your personal belongings locked up, shoes off, and get your session started on time.

No, we ask that all phones, tablets, laptops etc be locked up in a locker. If you would like to take pictures in the cave you may do so after the session is complete.

Yes, children are allowed in sessions. We do ask that you let us know there is a minor at time of making appointment. Children are required to stay in the chair and not play in the salt or touch the walls.

We start every session on the hour. If you are late we cannot hold the session for you and cannot open the door and allow you to join the session. We do not want to disrupt others in the session while they are relaxing or meditating.

No food or liquids are allowed in the cave. We do provide water after your session.

If it is only your group in the cave for the session then yes. If your session has other clients then we ask that everyone use the 48 minutes to relax, or meditate with no talking.

We do take walk-ins but it is best to make an appointment so we can hold a spot for you.

A session lasts 48 minutes once the music begins.

We can hold up to 12 people in the cave.
